Just a few questions. Does Stehplatz on the ticket mean it's a standing ticket or is it all general admission for this show?

Also are any fans on these forums going to the show? Any plans for a meet-up beforehand. Me and a friend are travelling over from the UK to the gig (Both in 20s). Just wondered if any Soundgarden fans in Berlin could provide accomodation for us for two nights (we aren't insane but we don't mind if you are Laughing out loud). If this isn't possible any information about hostels/cheap hotels/great bars would be great. Can't wait to visit Germany for the first time.

Hi, as far as I know it does mean standing, no seating tickets appear to be available on eventim.de.  Spandau is way out to the West of Berlin but the underground runs quite late.  Not sure about cheap hostels but lots of great pubs (i.e. any pub in Berlin).  Check booking.com for hostals.

Maybe locals can provide you with better info as I have only been twice with another trip in 4 weeks time.

Need to book myself, but I already have PJ/RHCP in Holland in June:-)

Hi Fletch84,

Looks like if I go to Berlin I will be on my own too (from your comment on other thread).

Would be flying from Liverpool/Manchester depending on flight times/prices with easyjet.

I would be travelling from around Nottingham. More than likely flying from East Midlands Airport.

Hey,

you should think about going to Rock am am Ring Festival instead Smile

Get a cheap flight with Ryanair to 'Hahn' Airport and take a ride to Nürburgring for the show.

^T-Bird, why? For the sake of cheap flights?

I'm planning to come to this show (from Scandinavia). Second time for me to visit Germany... first time to visit Berlin...

Can't wait to see them live!!! Laughing out loud

PS: Stehplatz <-> standing ticket (not a seated show)

Easyjet sale on at the minute.

Have any of you guys booked for this gig yet?

I was in Berlin last weekend for a stag do but a little wary of going by myself for some unknown reason as it would be my 4th trip there.

Anyone going to CC in the Lowry in Salford?

Sounds like a familiar plan:-)

However, it may be a touch risky flying on the day of the gig as you only arrive after 5, then a 10 min walk to station, about an hour on the train, then finding hotel, then getting to gig.

Hence, going a day early.

Know all about ticket inspectors.

Got  into berlin a few years ago from poznan, bought a 4 person 1 day pass.  I stopped to validate ticket and others jumped on train.

I got to train as doors shut and waved ticket at my mates.  A minute later one rang and said to get on next train for one stop, they had been lifted by the inspector wanting 120 euros and not believing their "story" that I had the group ticket.

His face was a peach when I met them waving the ticket:-)

Hey!  I'm flying in for the concert as well (from Spain though, not the UK), and I'd definitely be down for a meet-up beforehand.  It'll be my first time in Germany and I'm going solo, so I'd be keen to connect with some fellow fans.

Way stoked to see Soundgarden again.  I saw them last summer in Washington, and they put on a killer, killer show Laughing out loud

Hi,  I will name a central pub to meet up maybe wednesday evening and then thursday afternoon before the gig and we can get the train out to Spandau.  Mitte is a good central area with a good few bars underneath the train station.

I will post any plans closer to the time and see if any more people want to meet up.

Does anyone know how late the show is supposed to go?  Will public transportation still be running?

Show has to end before 10 pm. Curfew. Public Transport runs till 0-1 am. But night busses are all over the city - you'll never have a problem to get from one place to another.

I want to attend the concert too, but unfortunaetly Berlin is little to far away and I don't have enough money, that sucks Sad
