So strong

This could have easily have been on "Louder Than Love" instead of "Badmotorfinger".  Reminds me of the transition between Rush "Permanent Waves" > "Moving Pictures".  The songs kinda evolved gracefully between the two albums.

Pure excellence. The Badmotorfinger era embodies who Soundgarden is.

I can't fucking believe how much has changed this beatiful site, and they allow us to listen the full version of Black Rain exclusively without have to buy it on iTunes. The background is also great, and all this new design. At last, the update this site deserved.

Oh, and I almost forget. Black Rain is definitely one of their greatest songs in their whole career. And this is definitely a triumphant return. We should be glad of living this days.

I find it crazy that this song has been kept hidden for 20 or so years.

Love this song!  Absolutely sounds like it pre-dates BMF.  Maybe spillover from Louder Than Love, before they really polished the sound to a darker, more brooding sound that was wrongly considered "metal" by MTV dipshits.  It was great to hear Chris solo and with AudioSlave, but I'm glad he's home with Kim, Ben, and Matt.  Let's do it all again!

This is such a defining moment in music right now, the introduction of a new single from the reunited Soundgarden. It blew my mind, such an amazing tune and the symbolism of it almost brought a tear to my eye in the midst of the immense headbanging. 

Badass song, really cool to hear 'new' stuff. And, good lord, the artwork is equally badass!

The guitar  in the beginning sounds like the intro of BMF. "A Cow says" Then that incredible roar that makes the hair stand on end!!!! Anyone else hear this?

Good old stuff Soundgarden. Nice to hear a song from that period without the annoying snare from Badmotorfinger (sorry had to say it, that's the only thing I don't like about BMF)

HOLY CRAP!   The album artwork is the best embodiment of SG and this era I've ever seen.  Dogs, Armageddon, industrial scrap, bald eagle settled on an off-kilter crucifix etc.  The eagle symbolizing the triumphal, majestic element of the music (also well represented in the jangly guitar chords in the bridge from Outshined - "So now you know - who gets mystified").  The song is brilliant.  Reminds me of "Cold Bitch".  I heard it streamed a week or so ago, but it grows even more on each listen.  The artwork is perfectly complementary.
